Glenfarclas 18 YO 1L

| /

The Glenfarclas “closing the gap” between 15-year-old and 21-year-old whiskey. And, we are happy to admit that: quite successful. The 18-year-old fits seamlessly into the Glenfarclas Standard Range. It matured in ex-sherry as well as in former bourbon barrels (so they say; this is not officially confirmed, however) and was once only intended for duty-free purchase (hence the 1 liter version). The 18-year-old Glenfarclas convinces with a good portion of fruit, sweet caramel and tart nuts.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: powerful bouquet, with sweet vanilla croissants, creamy honey, exotic coconuts, fresh fruits and delicate alcoholic spiciness
  • Palate: The full-bodied palate is characterized by aromas of candied, dark fruits, nuts, caramel toffee, honey and piquant hints.
  • Finish: The seemingly endless finale is accompanied by warming spices, a hint of oak and freshly cracked almonds.

Our recommendation: The 18 YO single malt whiskey from Glenfarclas is a silky-soft and fruit-laden Speysider, which can be enjoyed pure or, depending on your personal preference, on ice.

Alc: 43%
