Jameson Cooper's Croze 700ml

Jameson Makers Series The Cooper's Croze Irish Whiskey has been created by Jameson's Head Cooper, Ger Buckley. Ger has selected this whiskey to highlight the role a combination of virgin oak, bourbon barrels and sherry casks plays in whiskey maturation. This whiskey shows his mastery at selecting, repairing and maintaining the treasured casks at Jameson's Midleton distillery, skills passed down through five generations and the tools he uses to do so.

A subtle flower petal-perfume on the nose develops into rich ripe fruits, while some charred oak and cedar wood bring balance and complexity – a seamless infusion of American and Spanish oak character. The initial palate is the sweet vanilla of the American ex-bourbon barrels. This brings added depth to the rich fruits typical of the ex-oloroso sherry butts. A pleasant touch of hazelnut and toasted wood complement the pot still spices. Long finish, with vanilla sweetness slowly fading to barley grains with a touch of oak char.
