Strathisla Gordon & MacPhail 2008 / 2020 46% 700ml

Selected for Gordon & MacPhail's famous 'Distillery Label' range, this bottling comes from the old Strathisla distillery in Keith, Speyside. Chosen from casks laid down in 2008, this has a classic flavour profile of rounded vanilla and lemon peel, moving through bitter-sweet treacle toffee and stewed fruit. A note of pineapple leads to a generous soft spice, with white-peppery warmth and clove, cinnamon and brown-sugar dusted baked apple. The finish is slightly tart with a note of plum and freshly toasted oak. Those who are familiar with this range will note the increased strength to 46%, giving a lift in depth of flavour & aroma.
