Named in commemoration of the Penola cricket ground, which used to lie on the very site where Jim Barry now grows this premium Cabernet, which is blended with small parcels from the family's Clare Valley estate, then aged in French and American oak.

A full bodied ripe Cabernet with silky mouthfeel and good balance. Berry fruit, tobacco leaf and smoky oak all make this a great drink!

Jim Barry was the 17th qualified winemaker in Australia and the first qualified winemaker to work in the Clare Valley. Jim met Nancy in 1950 and married a year later. Wanting to start their own label they started producing wine under Jim Barry Wines in 1959.
