One of the legendary “La La” wines of E. Guigal, La Turque is produced from a tiny vineyard parcel in Côte Brune, Côte-Rôtie. The 2019 is an exceptional vintage, combining tremendous concentration and power with remarkable elegance.

Made from 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier, the wine shows intense aromas of blackberry, cassis, dark cherry and violet, layered with smoked meat, black pepper, graphite, iron and exotic spice. The palate is full-bodied and deeply concentrated, with beautifully integrated tannins, impressive freshness and an exceptionally long, mineral-driven finish. Guigal lists the wine as matured for around 40 months in new oak and gives it an ageing potential of approximately 25 years.
