The 2022 Hermitage Rouge from Jean-Louis Chave is a powerful and profoundly expressive Syrah, crafted from fruit grown across some of the most revered plots of the Hermitage appellation. Broad, deep, and intensely aromatic, this vintage captures the timeless character of Chave’s iconic hillside terroirs.

Aroma:
Intense notes of dark berries, smoke, liquorice, graphite and wild herbs, layered with subtle hints of spice.

Palate:
Full-bodied and concentrated, showcasing velvety yet firm tannins that deliver structure and finesse. The wine unfolds gradually in the glass, revealing impressive depth and complexity, finishing long, seamless and persistent.

Aging Potential:
A vintage built for the cellar. Farr Vintners notes it will require around a decade of bottle age to soften and integrate fully. Expected to age gracefully for several decades.
