The latest release of the ever-popular Cask Strength #8 whisky from Glengoyne promises to be yet another big and bold dram with a luxurious mouthfeel. Matured in a combination of first-fill sherry casks, refill casks and some first-fill bourbon casks the nose is tempting with notes of apple pie, vanilla, nutmeg and white chocolate. At almost 60% it has a thick mouthfeel that coats the palate with buttery flavours of toffee popcorn, sweet banana and soft oak. A lasting finish of summer fruits and malt biscuits.
