Glenturret Peated Single Malt 700ml

The Glenturret Peated Edition combines both the unpeated Glenturret spirit with heavily peated spirit known as Ruadh Maor. This expression delivers definitive smoke and light spice aromas before developing into an array of maturing fruit and smoldering peat flavours on the palate. This edition is crafted in small batches, with less than 60 casks hand-selected to create this unique dram per batch.

TASTING NOTES:
Nose: A rather standard nose of heather honey, damp sand, light oak influence and barley water. Some Lockets lozenges, and just a touch of black pepper.
Palate: Green apples at first, followed by some over-ripe figs and then a slight bitterness of envelope glue. Gala melons follow to add some juice.
Finish: Spiced vanilla and chai take the drinking seat. Lots going on but not much balance.

Comment: Quite a loud whisky but it needs to find its feet more.

Alc: 43%
