Hunter Laing's Old & Rare Imperial 1998 23YO 700ml

A rather rare single malt from the now demolished Imperial distillery, bottled up by Hunter Laing, it's a fitting addition to the Old & Rare series. Distilled in July 1998 and filled into a single cask, this particular expression commemorates the Platinum Jubilee, and so was bottled up in May 2022 at 23 years old, celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. 

This yellow gold coloured whisky is beautifull sweet and desert-like on the nose, with notes of caramel sauce over vanilla ice cream. It becomes fruity on the palate with honeydew melon and lemon meringue pie, along with a moreish waxiness. The finish is long, fruity waxy and very satisfying.
