Infrequent Flyers Glen Spey 2006 15yo 700ml

Glen Spey is an important producer of malt spirits used in blended whiskies such as J&B, but the Speyside distillery hardly offers any bottlings of its own. This independent release from Alistair Walker Whisky Company is a rare opportunity to sample Glen Spey’s single malt, which in this case was matured for 15 years and finished in a virgin oak cask. Only 237 bottles were produced.

The nose is soft with notes of marzipan, creamy coconut ice cream and sweet balsamic glaze. Rum and raisin fudge explode onto the palate! A creamy mouth feel with lashings of vanilla and soft toffee. Toasted brown sugar notes, cinnamon and cloves carry you through the finish.
