Port Charlotte 2013 vintage Islay single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Bruichladdich Distillery. Heavily peated malt whisky distilled using barley harvested on seven Islay farms. Matured in bourbon and French wine casks.

TASTING NOTES
The nose of this whisky begins with a sandy sea breeze and fresh linen. Apple sauce, zesty lemon, crunch pear, and a green fruit signature follow. The aroma speaks to the spirit, the distillation, and the barley. The palate is sweet and soft on the lips and begins with a thin honey style slipping across the palate. Then there is more from the cask with milk chocolate, vanilla, black pepper, and light cedar. Warmed scones and honey from the malt wrapped in earthy smoke and soft apricot. creamy, minty, tablet brings a sweetness and a warm salty sand hint of Islay. The finish is coconut and peat smoke, mildly iodine-y and hints of almond and geranium. The peat smoke gently fades away.
