Skuttlebutt is a nautical term for the source of fresh drinking water on a sailing ship where people gather to catch up on the gossip and goings-on. To reflect the nature of this everyday social gathering, we create these wines as the perfect excuse to gather and Skuttlebutt with friends.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Dark red with purple hues.

Aroma: Ripe fruit aromas of plum, red berries, black currant, sarsaparilla and liquorice from a warm vintage. 

Palate: The palate is rich and silky with abundant flavours of redcurrant, plum, cherries and star anise. Supple and silky tannins give a gentle grip with a wonderful depth of flavour and an enticing, savoury finish.

Food Pairing

Best enjoyed with charred ribs and smokey meats.
