La Trappe Tripel 8% 330ml - Trappist Beer
La Trappe is a Dutch Trappist brewery located in the town of Berkel-Enschot. It is one of only twelve Trappist breweries in the world, and is known for producing high-quality, authentic Trappist beers.
A full-bodied taste with crisp hops and a layered malt profile. Not as heavy & strong as some other tripels, this is very drinkable and quaffing.
Tasting Notes
Pours a deep copper colour with a cranberry hue and a creamy head, dissipating slowly. The bouquet offers yeast and a strong, yet clean, herbal aroma, slightly grassy and resembling wet leaves in autumn. The taste consists of subtle malts & yeast, with strong fruit overtones (apple and pear), and a note of caramel, with no bitterness. A world-class beer.
