This Grand Vin de Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a perfect example of the class and complexity of Château de Nalys. An elegant palate with silky, powerful and long-lasting tannins.

It is a blend of 59% Grenache, 32% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre, 3% Counoise and 1% Vacarèse, and the wine was aged for 18 months of which 30% was in wood.

Both deeper and more concentrated, the 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape showed beautifully and is certainly starting to display the quality of this terroir. Deep blue fruits, ground pepper, sweet flowers, and incense notes all emerge from this full-bodied, rounded, concentrated barrel sample. It has the supple, sweet tannins of the vintage as well as a stacked mid-palate and terrific overall balance. Jeb Dunnuck.
