Chateau le Puy Barthelemy (2018) – The Chateau le Puy Barthelemy 2018 is a rich and complex red wine from the Cotes de Francs appellation in Bordeaux, France. It is a blend of 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on a vineyard with limestone and clay soils.

TASTING NOTES
Nose: it reveals subtle aromas of blackcurrant and redcurrant, evolving into notes of fig, plum, and very ripe strawberry.
Palate: it has a voluptuous and silky structure, supported by velvety tannins, offering a long and elegant finish with hints of licorice and grenadine.

Food Pairings
This wine pairs beautifully with grilled beef steak, slow-cooked rack of lamb, wild mushroom risotto, or a selection of aged cheeses.

Aging Potential
Barthélemy 2018 is currently drinking beautifully but also has excellent aging potential. It can be cellared for another 8 to 12 years under good conditions.
