Rey Del Mundo Organic Garnacha 2020 750ml
Summary: Castilla La Mancha: The vast, high and dry plains of Castilla la Mancha comprise over 50% of Spain’s vineyards. The ancient soils and high altitude ensures the richly flavoured fruit maintains structure and tannin. Vineyards planted on the slopes of mountain ranges in the north and northeast add a degree of elegance to the wines.
Winemaking: Totally de-stemmed before a long, cool fermentation with daily pump-overs to achieve optimum fruit and colour. The Wine was aged in a mix of seasoned French and American oak and 35% new, for twelve months. Blended and bottled with minimal fining before an additional six months ageing in bottle.
Tasting Note: A classically varietal Garnacha with a bold, red fruit signature complexed by a spicy, savoury edge. It’s medium-bodied but shows real flavour on the palate with a core of red-berried intensity complemented by a smooth tannin profile and a lick of cleansing acidity. Try with chorizo and chicken paella.
