Rich, powerful and unmistakably McLaren Vale, Penny's Hill Cracking Black Shiraz  is a generous Australian Shiraz named after the distinctive grey-black “Bay of Biscay” cracking soils found around the Penny’s Hill Estate.

This vintage opens with concentrated aromas of ripe blackberries, blueberries and dark plum, layered with toasted spice, savoury game and refined oak. On the palate it is full and fleshy, showing excellent depth of dark fruit alongside olive, subtle mocha and savoury spice.

Fine, polished tannins and juicy acidity provide balance and structure, leading to a long, velvety finish. Penny’s Hill notes that parcels are fermented separately before maturation in French oak and final blending.
