The Crusher Petite Sirah 2019 750ml

The Crusher Petite Sirah is a deep, inky color in the glass with sweeping, signature aromas of blueberry, boysenberry, blackberry, and fig jam. The inviting aromas lead to a rich palate where the core juicy fruit flavours mingle well with notes of toasted almond and clove spice. The wine spends 12 months in a combination of French, Hungarian, and American oak, giving the final blend a soft texture with fine, well-integrated tannins. This is a bit of showy wine with a lush, lingering finish and is definitely a crowd (or at least at the winery!) favourite.

California enjoyed above-average rainfall that helped end the ongoing drought; the vines were healthy and well-watered and enjoyed a warm summer when harvest began at a normal time and pace. The harvest yields are what was expected and quality and flavor development is excellent. The overall quality of the 2017 vintage is excellent.
