We’re glad to be seeing so many fantastic independent bottlings of Ben Nevis making their way onto the market. The distillery has won a loyal fan base for its distinct musty and robust profile that drinks exceptionally well in both young and more mature releases. This 31-year-old single cask bottling certainly falls into the latter, adding heavy pungently fruity notes that play wonderfully with the beefy notes of classic Ben Nevis. Matured for a full 31 years in a single Oloroso sherry butt, yet still retaining a remarkable 62.1% ABV. One of only 540 bottles.

Tasting notes from Hunter Laing describe a rich and concentrated flavour, with plums, blackberries and chococlate joining a very savoury character of beef stock and herbal amario type notes. The finish is rich with Europeak oak influence, lingering long and with great complexity.
