This Smoky 10 offers an ideal introduction to the unique peat character of Benriach single malts, using a high proportion of sweet and smoky Highland peat. At a younger age, the smoky richness of the peat character is more distinctive and intense in flavour, ensuring this expression remains popular with whisky drinkers looking to explore a new smoky style from Islay peated malts.

Benriach The Smoky Ten has been crafted from a combination of unpeated and peated spirit and three casks matured for at least ten years in a combination of bourbon barrels, Jamaican rum casks and toasted virgin oak. The whisky is then expertly married together to create sublimely smooth layers of sun-ripe fruit, aromatic smoke and toasted oak spice, lingering into the perfectly balanced sweet and smoky finish.

Nose: Ripe orchard fruit syrup, smoked honey glaze and oak spice.

Palate: Smoked applewood, honey maple and spiced pear finishing with lingering fruit and smoked oak.
