Craigellachie 39YO Vintage 1980 700ml

Cask #2037

The Craigellachie distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Aberlour, Banffshire near the village of Craigellachie at the centre of the Speyside whisky-producing area of Scotland. The name Craigellachie means 'rocky hill' and refers to the cliff that overlooks the Spey across from The Macallan distillery.

This is a stunning 39-year-old Craigellachie single malt, one of the oldest released by the distillery to date, distilled back in 1980. It spent its decades of maturation slumbering in a single-refill bourbon hogshead, specially chosen in 2019 by Craigellachie malt master Stephanie MacLeod. Just 138 bottles were released of the cask-strength whisky

Alc: 53%
