Appleton 2003 Estate Hearts Collection Rum 700ml

Appleton Estate Hearts Collection 2003 is a blend of Jamaican molasses rums that has been made from 20 barrels from a single mark.

These casks were selected during a blind tasting between Luca Gargano (founder of Velier) and Joy Spence (Appleton's master blender), in the cellars of the country's oldest rum distillery, which has nearly 200,000 casks.

This is a rum that was distilled in a Forsyth pot still in 2003 and then aged for 18 years in American oak barrels in the tropical climate of Jamaica.

Five thousand bottles were bottled in 2021. This highly aromatic rum has a high congeners content of 688 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol.
