This single-vineyard blend of Merlot (75%), Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, grown in clay and limestone soils in the Gensac commune east of the Gironde, is vinified and matured in stainless steel with no oak contact whatsoever.
TASTING NOTES
The purity of the fruit, framed by deft tannins and refreshing acidity, is just a joy to behold. Medium-bodied and luminous ruby-garnet in colour, the nose is vibrant with cherries and rhubarb, violets and rosehip, with the palate superbly focused on those ripe tannins, fresh hedgerow fruit layered over a fine minerality that runs from start to finish. It’s a seriously tasty Claret.
