Distilled at the Glenlivet distillery in 1980, this beautifully presented whisky was chosen from a single cask and matured for four decades before bottling. Even at 40 years of age, the bottlers Gordon & MacPhail describe a delicate, fresh and very aromatic whisky, showing a perfect balance of wood and time. A rich tropical scent compliment a vibrant hint of tart lemon, moving to sweet peaches and baked apples, with a darker sweetness of honey drizzled around. To taste, it is smooth and creamy with orage, lemon and a fresh hint of mint leading to almonds and mature oak.
