The heart of Glenturret’s core range, Glenturret 12yo is the signature expression from Scotland’s oldest working distillery, nestled in Perthshire beside the River Turret since 1763. Crafted with traditional methods and expert cask selection, it balances heritage with modern precision under Master Distiller Bob Dalgarno.

Origin & Maturation

  • Region: Highland, Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland
  • Cask Profile: 12 years aging in carefully chosen American oak, European oak, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry‑seasoned casks – fewer than 60 casks per release for consistent quality
  • Crafting: Non‑chill‑filtered, natural colour, bottled at 46.4% ABV to preserve full flavour depth

Tasting Profile

  • Colour: Luminous warm copper
  • Nose: Caramelised citrus, vanilla, cinnamon, plump raisins, dried apricot, toasted nut and subtle cedar
  • Palate: Medium‑full, smooth and rounded – salted caramel, ginger, nutmeg, berry compote, dark chocolate and gentle toasted oak
  • Finish: Long, warming, with lingering spice and dried fruit sweetness
  • Serving: Enjoy neat or with a splash of spring water; pairs beautifully with roast venison, blue cheese, fruit cake or dark chocolate.
