WINEMAKING

Our classical dry style Rosé comes from hillside vineyards surrounding the beautiful Cactus Bay and Owhiti Beach on Waiheke Island along with fruit from the idyllic Ponui Island. Like previous years, we select parcels of Merlot, Malbec and Syrah (along with a touch of Cabernet Franc) specifically chosen for Rosé production, gently pressing the fruit for over 7 hours to produce pure pale juice for cold fermentation in stainless steel.

TASTING NOTE

The  Pinque has classic strawberries and cream characters along with watermelon and a touch of Szechuan pepper. The Pinque was warm and dry and correspondingly this wine is relatively low in acid making for a very smashable wine, although like all our wines there is plenty of subtle complexity to delight the taster. Enjoy!
