Penfolds Bin 138 Shiraz Grenache Mataro 750ml

Bin 138 draws its inspiration from the wines of the Southern Rhône, where shiraz, grenache and mataro (mourvèdre) are blended in varying proportions to create full-bodied wines with rich, heady perfume. Fruit is sourced each year from Barossa Valley vines and matured for 12 months in seasoned oak hogsheads, with a small proportion of new oak allowing each variety's character to shine through.

Colour: Vivid crimson-purple.

Aroma: Bright red and dark berries - raspberry, kirsch and mulberry - with warm baking spice, dried herbs and a lifted floral perfume typical of grenache.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied and generously fruited, with soft, velvety tannins, a touch of liquorice and spice, and a smooth, warming finish.

Alc: 14.5%
