The product itself appears to come from Trinidad. The brand is owned by The Stolen Rum Company of New Zealand and was founded by friends Jamie Duff and Roger Holmes.
The Stolen Dark rum is aged in oak and then blended; we presume it is made from the darker blackstrap molasses creating the dark, honey flavours characteristic of dark rums. They suggest looking for flavour notes of "lightly toasted caramel."
