Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Rouge 2023 is considered one of the benchmark wines of the Northern Rhône and among the most sought-after expressions of Syrah in the world. The wine is blended from several historic Hermitage lieux-dits, including Les Bessards, L'Ermite, Le Méal and Les Beaumes, each contributing structure, minerality, power and aromatic complexity.

Highly perfumed and expressive, showing black cherry, cassis, blackberry and plum layered with violet, rose petal, incense, black olive tapenade, graphite and crushed stone minerality. Subtle notes of smoked meat, spice and cedar emerge with aeration.
Palate
Full-bodied yet remarkably elegant. Dense dark fruit is supported by ultra-fine tannins, vibrant acidity and a powerful mineral core. The 2023 vintage is noted for its purity, freshness and aromatic lift rather than sheer weight, delivering a seamless balance between richness and finesse.
