Marisco Kings Bastard Chardonnay 750ml

The de Mariscos descended from a William de Marisco (approximately AD 1100), who was said to be one of the 35 illegitimate children of King Henry the First - thereby marking him, The King’s Bastard.

TASTING NOTE

The Kings Bastard Chardonnay 2022 offers enchanting aromas of brioche, ripe rock melon, and subtle oak with a gun flint twist. The palate is supported by oak tannins, ripe stone fruit, and citrus, with partial malolactic fermentation lending a softer texture.

The residual acidity extends to a dry, salivating finish. 

FOOD MATCH

This wine pairs well with white meat and seafood dishes, especially those with rich, creamy sauces like chicken Alfredo or truffle mushroom risotto. Best enjoyed within 3-5 years of vintage date.
