Following on from Benriach's inaugural cask strength release came to a peated version. Last year's received a rave review from Jim Murray who described it as "...stunning whisky, magnificently distilled and, though relatively young, almost perfectly matured."

TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Deep winter gold.
Aroma: Juniper berries and stone fruit, wood-smoke and milk thistle.
Taste: Bellowing peat embers carry butterscotch and Brazil nut toffee interwoven with pine resin.

Finish: Long and intriguing with smoked applewood and star anise on a smouldering forest fire.

Alc: 60.6%
