Caperdonich 'Signatory' 2000 / 20yo 700ml

Built across the road from Glen Grant distillery, Caperdonich is a sought after but rarely seen single malt due to the distillery's closure in 2002, and further demolished in 2011. This bottle from Signatory vintage was distilled in 2000, one of the final years of production, and was matured in a single hogshead with an outturn of 244 bottles. 

Tasting Note

Known as one of Speyside's hidden gems, Caperdonich has a delicate and complex style, floral, lots of fresh fruits with a creamy mouth feel. The scent of old-fashioned vanilla custard squares is particularly vivid in this example. An incredibly rare and delightful single malt from one of Scotland's ghost distilleries.
