Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 750ML

Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc is one of New Zealand's most popular wines for good reason - because it's a complex dry white made from our country's most widely planted grape variety. Fermentation is carried out mostly in stainless steel tanks which delivers freshness and directly fruit flavours, which are balanced by a small portion of the wine, typically 4% of the blend, being fermented at warmer temperatures in old French oak barriques. A little goes a long way and this oak fermentation provides a smoothness, softness and flavoursome interest to this deliciously complex Sauvignon Blanc. Its flavour notes span the spectrum of appealing tropical fruit and herbs to dry spicy aromas and a lingering freshness on the long finish. 


Following the harvest, the free-run juice was cold settled, before racking and inoculation with selected yeast. Fermentation was carried out primarily in stainless steel tanks, with approximately 4% of the blend fermented at warmer temperatures in old French oak barriques and large format oak vats. As usual, our Sauvignon Blanc was blended stringently from 91 different portions to include only the best. The final blend shows an alcohol of 13.2% pH 3.11 TA 7.15g/L RS 2.4g/L
