🏆 Best Product of the Year 2024 – Lisbon Bar Show 2025
Fernet-Branca Italian Herbal Bitter Liqueur is one of Italy's most iconic and internationally celebrated amaro liqueurs, renowned for its intensely aromatic character, distinctive bitterness and remarkable heritage dating back to 1845 in Milan, Italy.
Crafted according to a closely guarded family recipe, Fernet-Branca combines 27 carefully selected herbs, spices and roots sourced from four continents, including Chinese rhubarb, gentian, galangal and chamomile.
The ingredients are transformed into aromatic infusions and extracts before the blend is rested in oak barrels for 12 months, allowing its complex botanical flavours to develop and harmonise.
Tasting Notes
Deep, dark and intensely aromatic, Fernet-Branca delivers a distinctive combination of bitter herbs, warming spices, earthy roots and refreshing menthol notes. The nose reveals layers of aromatic herbs, peppermint, liquorice and exotic spices. On the palate, bold herbal bitterness is balanced by subtle sweetness, earthy complexity and refreshing mint, leading to a remarkably long, warming finish.
