Macduff Distillery is one of the lesser known Highland distilleries, yet it’s been responsible for producing some remarkable single malts. This 20-year-old, branded as Glen Deveron, is the perfect case in point.

Nose: roasted cereals, hazelnuts and exotic fruit
Palate: lots of fruit and rich nutty aromas
Finish: all aromas from the palate, long and lingering
Alc: 40%
