Though midnight black at the core, this wine is impressively fruit-driven on the nose with oodles of ripe blackberry and cassis aromas. The round palate tacks on liquorice, flint and truffle. Chiseled acidity and firm but seamless tannins give this wine staying power. Oak tones of toasted multi-grain bread and caramel grace the lingering finish.

TASTING NOTE
Smells: A powerful nose of dark plum, liquorice, stewed rhubarb and blackcurrant with vanilla, toasty oak, chocolate and Christmas cake.

Tastes: Sweet dark fruit and spice flow through to a long, rich palate with a fine bed of grainy tannins, this is a lovely rich wine that shows incredible concentration for the money. Great buying for when you just want a big, satisfying glass of red. Drink young between now and 2023.
