Batch 10 of this intensely smoky Campbeltown whisky shows some lovely American oak influence with notes of crème brulée and toasted marshmallow wrapped in rich, sweet peat smoke.
Nose A sweet introduction, there are notes of icing sugar, creme brulee and custard.
Palate The peat smoke is soft and sweet, with notes of toasted marshmallows typical of the Kilkerran Heavily Peated range. Over time, hinting of gooseberries and parma violets develop.
Finish: The sweetness lingers in the finish in notes of orange pulp.
