A departure from Kilkerran's typically lightly peated single malt, their Heavily Peated Kilkerran is released twice per year at cask strength and around 45PPM. Although the maturation can vary, it is typically matured predominantly in Bourbon casks.

90% Bourbon, 10% Sherry

Nose: The nose is slightly mineral, with peat smoke apparent from the outset and a malty, cereal note

Palate: Orchard fruits and the peat smoke becomes more prominent on the palate in notes of campfire embers

Finish: A long, sweet finish concludes this heavily peated dram

Alc: 58.4%
