Kumeu River Hunting Hill Chardonnay 2025 is an exceptional single-vineyard Chardonnay from one of New Zealand’s most internationally acclaimed Chardonnay producers.

The Hunting Hill Vineyard, originally planted in 1982 and replanted in 2000, sits on the slope overlooking the celebrated Maté’s Vineyard. The site consistently produces beautifully ripe Chardonnay with impressive concentration and a distinctive mineral character.

The 2025 vintage displays enticing aromas of lemon, lime blossom and ripe citrus, with an added richness and generosity characteristic of the vintage. The palate is concentrated, beautifully structured and remarkably long, combining ripe fruit with Hunting Hill’s signature mealy minerality, fine acidity and elegant oak influence.

Hand harvested and whole-bunch pressed, the wine undergoes 100% barrel fermentation in French oak with indigenous yeasts, followed by full malolactic fermentation and approximately 11 months of barrel maturation.

A sophisticated and age-worthy New Zealand Chardonnay that can be enjoyed young for its vibrant fruit and mineral precision, while further bottle ageing will reveal even greater complexity.
