La Belle Angèle Gamay comes from Languedoc‑Roussillon in southern France. It’s a light, juicy, fruit-forward red made from 100% Gamay. The wine is vinified using a mix of semi-carbonic maceration to bring fresh fruit character and traditional maceration (to give a bit more body), then aged in tank to preserve its vibrant fruit.
On the nose, it shows red fruit aromas like cherry, raspberry, plus floral notes (peony) and a hint of spice. In the mouth, it’s round and fruity with soft, supple tannins — light-bodied, easy to drink, and very approachable.
It’s best served chilled, and pairs well with a charcuterie platter, goat or sheep cheese, roast poultry, Provençal vegetables, or grilled meat.
