Mouton Cadet Rouge 2023 is a classic Bordeaux red from Baron Philippe de Rothschild, combining ripe fruit, elegance and approachable structure in a smooth and generous style.

The 2023 vintage is predominantly Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. This classic Bordeaux blend brings together Merlot's round, generous fruit with the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the refinement of Cabernet Franc.

Deep purple with intense violet highlights, the wine opens with aromas of ripe red and dark fruits, followed by delicate notes of saffron, rosemary and sweet spice. The palate is rounded and fruit-driven, with generous raspberry and blueberry flavours supported by supple tannins and subtle aromatic herbs.

Matured for 10 months in vats on lees, Mouton Cadet Rouge 2023 retains excellent freshness and purity of fruit while developing a smooth, well-balanced texture.

An approachable and versatile Bordeaux red, it pairs beautifully with roast meats, duck, pork, barbecue dishes and mild cheeses.
