Petit Ducru is the second wine of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, one of the most prestigious classified growths in Saint-Julien. It is crafted in a more approachable style than the grand vin, while still reflecting the estate’s hallmark precision and Cabernet-driven structure. The 2025 vintage shows good definition, freshness, and classic Left Bank balance.
The nose reveals blackcurrant, blackberry, red plum, violet, cedar, graphite, and subtle tobacco spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with smooth tannins, clean acidity, and a polished, fruit-forward core. The structure is refined rather than powerful, leading to a fresh, lightly mineral finish.
