Planteray Rum Gran Anejo 700ml

Planteray Gran Añejo is a rich and characterful Central American rum combining carefully selected rums from Guatemala and Belize, brought together through Planteray's signature double-ageing process.

The Guatemalan component is aged for around 3 years in ex-Bourbon casks, while the Belizean rums mature for approximately 4 to 6 years in the tropical climate. The rum then travels to France for a further 1 to 2 years of maturation in ex-Cognac casks, adding depth, complexity and elegant oak character.

Rich and expressive on the nose, Gran Añejo reveals notes of ripe fruit, vanilla, cherry and roasted spice. The palate is full and well structured, developing layers of plum, dried fruit and old Port-like richness, followed by a long finish of Virginia tobacco, liquorice and oak.

Smooth yet complex, Planteray Gran Añejo is excellent enjoyed neat or over ice, and also works beautifully in premium rum cocktails.
