Domaine Denis Race is located in the southern outskirts of the Chablis village. The four-generation vineyard, which nestles in the heart of the city, spread over 18 hectares covering the 4 appellations, with parcels of vines aged 2 to 65 years.

This is classic Chablis at its best – 4th generation winemaker the Race family use virtually no oak (and none at all in the standard cuvee) creating a lean, linear, focused wine that evokes crushed shells, crunchy apple and soft aromatic florals.

This wine is a beauty. It has abundant freshness with youthful vibrancy, surprising fruit weight for an unwooded and 12.5% alc. chardonnay. It has a impressive purity, chalky but elegant texture with a “dancing” acidity that cries for summer seafood or delicious picnic fare and casual meals with friends. This is one of the best AC Chablis’ that sisters Marine and Clare have made in the last decade, and the “direct” and youthful vigour is accented with gentle nuances of honeysuckle, lemon pith and honey wax.
