Valli Gibbston Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023 is an exceptional single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Gibbston, Central Otago, showcasing the perfume, elegance and fine structure for which this cool-climate subregion is renowned.

The 2023 vintage displays a bright garnet colour with aromatic layers of wild thyme, rosemary, fennel and mushroom, complemented by dark cherry, ripe strawberry and dried rose petals. The palate is concentrated yet elegant, with vibrant acidity, fine silky tannins and a long, savoury finish. Valli describes this as an exceptional vintage with the fine tannins and perfume characteristic of Gibbston Pinot Noir, with potential to develop for around 20 years.  

The wine was made with 25% whole-bunch fruit and matured for 11 months in French oak, of which approximately 27% was new oak. Production was relatively limited at around 2,600 dozen bottles.
