Gosling's Family Reserve comes from the same blend of Bermuda rum as classic Gosling's Dark Seal rum. In oak barrels, however, they lie much longer. It ages until it gets such a delicious taste as old whiskey or cognac. Each bottle has a wax seal on the neck. The rum is left resting in the oak barrels where it is aged until it has acquired a luscious, well-balanced complexity, resulting in the finest of sipping rums.

• Nose: Rich, creamy aromas with notes of dark chocolate, leather, candied orange, vanilla, and spice.
• Palate: A complex and thick texture with flavors of molasses, marmalade, oak, baked apples, and baking spice, balanced by some bitter wood tannins.
• Finish: A long, elegant, and oaky finish with spicy and fruity notes
