About Barossa Shiraz
The Barossa in South Australia is the country's most famous Shiraz region, settled by German and English migrants in the 1840s. It includes the warm Barossa Valley and the cooler, higher Eden Valley, and is home to some of the world's oldest Shiraz vines, many never affected by phylloxera.
Barossa Valley Shiraz is rich and full-bodied, with ripe blackberry, plum, chocolate and spice, while Eden Valley Shiraz is more perfumed and finely structured. The range runs from great-value everyday reds to icon wines such as Hill of Grace, RWT and The Octavius, plus Barossa's famous sparkling Shiraz.
