About Hawke's Bay Wine

Hawke's Bay (often searched as Hawkes Bay) on the east coast of the North Island is New Zealand's oldest wine region. Its warm, sunny climate and varied soils make it the country's leading region for red wine and a top region for Chardonnay.

Hawke's Bay Wine Styles

The Gimblett Gravels and Bridge Pa Triangle produce rich Bordeaux-style blends and peppery Syrah, including icons such as Te Mata Coleraine, Craggy Range Le Sol and Trinity Hill Homage. Hawke's Bay Chardonnay is ripe and elegant, and the region also makes fresh Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose and traditional method sparkling.
