Deep in the east Highland hills, The Glen Dronach Distillery has been quietly perfecting sherry wood maturation since 1826. Our founder, Jame Alien built his distillery in the fertile landscape of the Forgue valley and named it 'Flen Dronach', which means valley of the brambles' in Scots Gaelic. Here, he discovered the rich depths of sherry wood maturation, marrying Scottish spirit to Spanish cask.

Little has changed over the centuries, our craftsmen use the same iron mash tun, wooden washbacks and saxophone copper pot stills as their forefathers did. Our signature expression, The GlenDronach 12 Year Old, epitomises our unyielding dedication to the mastery of our craft. Matured in fine Pedro Ximénea and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucía in Spain, this richly sherried Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky presents smooth vanilla, soft fruits and a memorable long, nutty finish, for which it has become renowned.

Tasting Note

Appearance: Deep amber-red gold

Nose: Sweet, creamy vanilla, with hints of ginger and autumn fruits.

Palate: Rich, creamy, skilky-smooth. Warm, rich oak and sherry sweetness, a full mouth feel, raisins, soft fruits.

Finish: Long, full and firm, slightly nutty.

Alc: 43%
