The premium red blend from one of the market leaders, Craggy Range. With immense power and finesse, the Sophia is a modern classic among NZ Bordeaux blends. As always, Craggy works hard to let the grapes reach optimal ripeness, but not to over- ripen them. The result is a seriously composed wine that will decant beautifully at table in a couple of years, or age for many more in cellar.

'Sophia' is made from select parcels of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the heart of our Gimblett Gravels Vineyard in Hawke's Bay. These parcels are farmed and vinified separately before selection and assemblage of the very best barriques for this prestige cuvee. 'Sophia' is a true expression of this great vineyard and the vintage. It is rich yet refined, very long flavoured and beautifully crafted.
