About Quartz Reef

Quartz Reef was founded in 1996 by Austrian-born winemaker Rudi Bauer at Bendigo in Central Otago. Its biodynamic vineyard sits on a quartz seam, and the winery is best known for some of New Zealand's finest bottle-fermented sparkling wines.

Quartz Reef Wines

The Méthode Traditionnelle wines are made in the Champagne method from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay: the Brut NV is crisp and creamy, the Zero Dosage is bone dry and mineral, and the Méthode Rosé is fresh with red berry notes. The Pinot Rosé is a dry still rosé.
